Halloween Spooktacular – Day 8

Double Duty

legs_allHoliday creativity brings so much fun to your season! It gets even better when you discover a way to make it budget friendly as well. In today’s economy, discovering extra ways to use your favorite products is a great find. Luckily, most of our spooky elements can serve double duty. I fell in LOVE with the “Witch Leg” stamp from Making Memories. (Isn’t it fabulous?!)

holidaybookIt was exciting to play with this stamp and discover how witch legs can easily become elf legs with just a simple change of colors and the addition of some little bells!

Black on Black Layout and Card

For an eerie but stylized look, try using black elements on a black page. This works especially well if you mix media. For example, on the layout I used glittered foam, vinyl tape, and shimmer rub ons against the black textured cardstock. Flocked embellishments also look great on black.

Spooktacular – Day 2 & winner!

Welcome to day 2 of our 13 Day Spooktacular.

The good folks over at Sizzix carry one of my all time favorite dies - Circle 3-D Ornament. It was originally created for making cute Christmas ornaments, but I love using it to make a  ”kissing ball” topiary for every occasion. Using this die takes the work out of cutting and folding each circle. Read on for detailed directions and for a chance to win another fun prize!
