Charmed I’m Sure
I recently went to a little gift shop and found some really cute Halloween Charm necklaces. Unfortunately they were a bit out of my price range, so I decided to whip these up using some of the supplies I already had in my stash. I hope that it will inspire you to do the same. I think these would make fun “candy free” gifts for teachers and friends.
Double Duty
Holiday creativity brings so much fun to your season! It gets even better when you discover a way to make it budget friendly as well. In today’s economy, discovering extra ways to use your favorite products is a great find. Luckily, most of our spooky elements can serve double duty. I fell in LOVE with the “Witch Leg” stamp from Making Memories. (Isn’t it fabulous?!)
It was exciting to play with this stamp and discover how witch legs can easily become elf legs with just a simple change of colors and the addition of some little bells!
No tricks, just TREATS!
Halloween is such a fun time to share treats – why not dress them up with a little festive touch? Gifts for teachers or neighbors go from drab to fab by simply dressing up a plain paper bag, such as this quick & easy bag created using products from Basic Grey’s fabulous Halloween line, “Eerie”, along with the Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Spider Web punch.
And make any Halloween party special with these fun skull favor boxes from Basic Grey (the best part is how simple they are to put together – just punch out and glue).

Black on Black Layout and Card
For an eerie but stylized look, try using black elements on a black page. This works especially well if you mix media. For example, on the layout I used glittered foam, vinyl tape, and shimmer rub ons against the black textured cardstock. Flocked embellishments also look great on black.

The good folks over at Sizzix carry one of my all time favorite dies - Circle 3-D Ornament. It was originally created for making cute Christmas ornaments, but I love using it to make a ”kissing ball” topiary for every occasion. Using this die takes the work out of cutting and folding each circle. Read on for detailed directions and for a chance to win another fun prize!
