Let’s face it, sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day. Between jobs, school, motherly/wifely duties, there are a lot of things that seem to take priority over scrapbooking. But fear no more! When you’re crunched for time there are simple solutions for creating a cute and thoughtful cards. This week’s challenge is all about creating simple, colorful, collage-y cards. Quick baby card? Done! Quick holiday card? Done! Quick thank you card? Done! Keep scrolling to see the cards you can create when you need one STAT!
Fun colors, excellent use of dimensions and textures, plus, that background patterned paper sure makes this Be Yourself by Brenda Weaver card pop!
It takes a designer’s touch to place a bunch elements in such a way that makes them look good – and Amy Heller did just that on her sweet and beautifully muted Believe card.
This Celebrate card by Sarah Martina could be used for so many different occasions! Anniversary, wedding, bridal shower, and more. Versatile cards = awesome in my book.
Christmas will be here faster than we know! It’s time to start thinking about those Christmas cards again – here is some great inspiration from Giselle Zimmerman. Simple, colorful, collage-y – these cards meet the challenge to a “T”!
Aren’t the colors on this From Me to You card by Heidi Stock gorgeous? Who woulda thunk to put red, sky blue, violet, and mint green together? I’m sure glad Heidi did! And you can never go wrong with owls.
Here’s another fun option for a holiday card. Kim Walker designed this hip black and red Joy card.
Just For You by Mary Dawn Quirindongo is great because it would only take a few minutes to make, and it’s sure to bring a smile to the face of the recipient – how could it not with those pops of pink, green and yellow?
The embellishments on this Love You card by Kelley Eubanks are so fun – a page pebble, a resin frame, a cute flower button, plus a dash of jewels.
My favorite cards to make are thank you cards and I’m running out of ideas of ways to say thank you – I forget there are a hundred different languages you can say thank you in! So Gaby – “merci” for making this beautiful card.

Halloween is one week from tomorrow! Are your costumes all finished? I’m trying to convince my husband to let me wear a mask so no one can tell how old I am so I can go trick-or-treating. I miss it so! But anyways, I present a great Halloween card by Kelly VanDerMolen:
Last but certainly not least, here is a cute Welcome Home card by Kim Jackson. See that “peach” made out of a stamp and button? So creative! And that bunched ribbon? So fun!

Oh, Thanks Paige! I think this was my first purposefully made collage-y card. :-) And I think I’m with you on getting some bulk cards done using this style/technique… I have lots of cards to make, and this will work perfectly. What a great way to get rid of scraps, too!
