What is your jewelry style? Eclectic. I like mix-and-match elements and an asymmetrical look. I wear lots of neutral-colored clothes so I make jewelry with bright, stand-out colors.

If we looked into your craft closet, what would we see? An avalanche of photography, sewing, beading, card-making and quilting supplies would spill out and bury you alive. I'd take some emergency supplies if I were you.

If you were a mad scientist, what would you invent? Negative-calorie Molten Chocolate Cake.

Sometimes, even as adults, we can have such child-like thoughts that we are careful to suppress them and not tell anyone. I’m probably going to embarrass myself, but I feel like sharing one of my more recent oddball thoughts  that was “inspired” by the piece in the middle photo: Waterfall, by Wendy Emerson.

I was photographing in the studio one day when, twice, I came across a piece with just the right combination of color, texture, and shine that I was captivated by it, much like a baby becomes who sees something shiny … and longs to stick it in his mouth.

They looked so elegant, and yet so…juicy. That’s right, I said juicy, and my mouth watered as if the beads were candy.

I’d like to take this moment to assure you that I have NEVER put any of our jewelry submission’s into my mouth. I will go even further and promise you that I will never suck, chew, or crunch any  of your submissions in the future.

The point of this story is merely to illustrate that I have now learned that the phrase “mouthwatering jewelry” can, in fact, be a literal description.

Describe your jewelry style: Minimalist and Mixed media. I like my jewelry to be classy enough to wear to church, but with a little indie flair.

What is your 'must-see' TV show? Pushing Daisies, Better Off Ted, Chuck, and 30 rock.

What is the strangest skill that you possess? I can fit several quarters in my belly button like a vending machine. Sadly, no candy comes out.

Etsy Roundup – Multi-colored

Bright spring colors are all around us – blossoming trees, blooming flowers and new grass. You’re sure to see beautiful combinations of colors everywhere you look. Use that color inspiration in your next jewelry piece, like these lovelies from Etsy artists.
